The Crescent Oaks subdivision is the very picture of a safe and quiet neighborhood, with a gated checkpoint on the way in, finely manicured lawns and even some wild turkeys that amble about.

To accommodate a growing number of visitors, the Clearwater Marine Aquarium is partnering with the Clearwater Jolley Trolley and Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority to provide free transportation between the aquarium on Island Estates and the aquarium's Dolphin Tale Adventure movie exhibit in the Harborview Center downtown.

When Jerome "Jerry" Waechter showed up at East Lake High School Tuesday at 5 p.m. for a mentoring appointment, a sheriff's deputy was waiting for him.
