The three daughters of a knife-wielding mentally ill Vietnamese man slain by San Jose police earlier this year blasted Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen's conclusion that the shooting was legally justified and called on the FBI to investigate.

Police are investigating a shooting that injured a man in the East Foothills neighborhood of San Jose early this morning, a police dispatcher said.

Butler Township police are investigating a violent home invasion. Officers said it happened at a home on East Foothills Drive in the township around 5:30 p.m. Friday.

The Butte County Board of Supervisors should be commended for their vote to oppose the placement of a drug treatment facility on the Honey Rock site in the Oroville East Foothills.
