Free rides offered for a week on new Cedar Avenue BRT
To entice people to try the new Cedar Avenue bus rapid transit line opening June 22, transit agencies are offering free rides on the corridor and connecting routes from opening day through June 30. The BRT, known as the Red Line on the metro transit map, will loop continuously between Apple Valley and the Mall of America along Cedar Avenue.

Eagan buys land for possible fire station
The City Council this week authorized the purchase of a 4.3-acre parcel, near the intersection of Blackhawk and Diffley roads, for $625,000 from Eagan Pointe Senior Living LLC. Eagan's fire department previously identified the area that could incorporate operations of several existing stations into one facility, according to city documents.
