My 10 year old daughter watched in horror, as a pack of 3 dogs, belonging to Ray Oaks, tore down her rabbits cage. The dogs ran away with her precious black bunny dangling from its mouth. We left in the car looking for the dogs, not knowing where they went, we drove around the rankin cemetary and up east ridge rd. then toward east valley. We spotted 3 black dogs at Ray Oaks property and proceeded there. I ask my daughter if she could reconize the dogs, she said yes. We went to Mr. Oaks house, my daughter still in tears and saw the 3 dogs, one at which had her rabbit, eating on its lifeless little furry body. He stated, they are his dogs and they pretty much go as they please.I said, the rabbit your dog is eating on is my daughters pet. I stated to him, that could have been my daughter that got mauled. his statment to me was quote " oh no they wouldnt hurt a human, that rabbit is an animal". I asked him to at least apologize,for what she just went through with a maulling of her pet, the only thing he said to me was "she dont look that upset" and never said sorry to her. The dogs traveled a little over 1/2 mile and came on my property and tore down a very large cage which was housing the rabbits. This cage had teeth marks all in the wood and they had managed to pull it over. When i hauled the cage home it barely fit in the back of a full size pick-up. It wasnt a small cage. He is so in the wrong. When we returned home, we found her other rabbit hiding under some trees and its little foot had been bitten off. It is safe as of know, but my daughter is always looking out to make sure the dogs havent returned for the other one. Mr. Oaks was charged with animals at large, court is on Feb. 14 at 5pm in city court if anyone would like to attend and support my daughter.

On Wednesday a federal grand jury in Knoxville returned a 38-count indictment against Euell Kenneth Cox, Jr., 47, of Dunlap, Tenn., for receipt of child pornography.
