With virtually no fanfare or advance notice, Crystal Bowersox today released five songs that date to her pre- American Idol days and serve as a musical place-holder until she puts out a new album of fresh material later this year.

That will open this weekend. A new night-time show called "Luminosity" isn't scheduled to launch until June 8th.
