S. Indiana woman pleads guilty in son's beating death

i think it bullshit that she got the blame cause if the cps was doin thier job when they find metamphetamine in the child they should took her from her. i don't think she did it.

she passed a drug test in April 2008 and failed in May when Jalen did. She passed all other drug tests till his death. She loved him and would not have picked up anything 2 hit him with it. She is only guilty of neglect. 4 not seeing what
Truelove was doing 2 him. She didn't do it

You all are full of crap!! Too bad she was out partying and drinking the weekend after he died. And I know for a fact she'd gotten violent with him before. Dream on people! Any mother who lets her child die like that should serve time anyway. Open your eyes you ignorant people

Wow, the fact that she allowed her child to be susceptible to drugs and be around Truelove is definitely a strike against her. You cannot possibly say she did not do it when she plead guilty to beating her son, as well as doing meth with Truelove. It is ridiculous that anyone would blame the cops for not taking care of the situation whenever they are the ones risking their lives everyday to save others. It is an absolute outrage that you would think doing drugs and beating your child does not require a decent amount of jail time.. for god's sake the child died. You can't continue to blame anyone except for the mother. It was her job to take care of the son, and look what happened?

I am thinking the two stupid comments from Todd and Barefoot that they do not have children. I don't care who a person is involved with, the idea that you would put your child in harms way makes you responsible. If you think someone else is also responsible then I think you should bring that to the police or anyone else instead of posting it on a website. They should also be punished. And if you really believe this and are do nothing about it - that would make you also have a responsibility in this innocent childs death. Come-one people be mature adults, this child was 2 years old and deserved better.
