I agree this needs to be turned over to God, that is what the pastors wife should have done before she attacked this woman!If someone comes into church "yelling" at me I hope our pastor is MAN enough to stop it and not let it get this nasty! i agree they need to leave soon. They both should find a new home soon. I can't imagine why anyone would hurt someone in the church. Especially a handicap lady that loves the lord.

Just another excuse not to go! YOU don't go to church cause YOU don't want to. NO one to blame but YOU. If you are there for the right reason (serving God) then what others do wouldn't bother you. As for splitting hell wide open, there is always room for one more. I have heard it is a bottomless pit. The only people satan doesn't bother is the ones he already has!!!He can even get to you at home!

well...my boyfriend was in there which is a member of the churchs grandson and he did see it all and i will not go there untill they are removed it was awful first of all she(darlene payne)should not have been talking to the handicapped ladys mother like this no she was not in her face i know that the poor handicapped lady almost fell down the steps when she came outside it was awful what a preacher just to stand back and say darlene darlene dont to that wow!! what words she has told me and my boyfriend on more than one occauson that we are disrespectfull in church and i just let it go but now whos being disrespectful i just cant take her anymore as for dale letting her hit a handicapped woman what a man is all im going to say about it and yes the praise team was in there and the panio player was hugging darlene payne after that mess because she was crying why was she crying because she didnt want to go to jail thats stupid im not judgeing im just saying that its stupid i loved going there with my mawma my boyfriend and his sisters and cousins they were amazing and i loved listing to brother sammy preach and i tryed to be as respectfull as posible with dale was preaching but it was kinda hard knowing that his wife choked my aunt about 6 years ago well i did write a letter to the church of god council but have not sent it yet becuase im just waiting to see what happens i have friends that have been denied a ride to church because they live too far out for darlene payne to drive there is no distance for god...i will not be going back untill they leave and my mawma and i can go back and sit and be in the lords house with everyone that was originally there so on my church i now go to darlene and dale payne are on my prayer list and thats all i have to say about that

I am a child of mountain parkway and personally the lady and her mother has done more in that church than what the paynes ever did...I have been going to that church for six years and I can tell u that I get judged by the clothes that i wear by darelene payne because they are "Inapporiate" well Im sorry but I cant afford clothes just to wear at church. Ive also been told that I am disrespectful in that church. but I do nothing but listen and I helped out as much I could. I still go there because Its my home church and I dont feel right going anywheres else. But I dont feel right going because of what darlene payne did. because shes yelled at me plenty of times because of something I didnt do. what if she hit a kid? would someone do something about it then? im sorry but its not a church no more because there is absolutely no one that is going to church there anymore.. Darelene payne has denied my friends and I a ride because we were alittle over seven miles. Im sorry but there shouldnt be no distance for anyone to go to church. God wants all of his childeren going to church and if she denies kids rides, why should she be able to say anything. lets not forget Dale payne also denied kids rides because he didnt have the gas...but isnt that what the offering is suppose to be about. The slapping of a crippled woman is just the tip of the iceberg at the Mt. Parkway Church of God as anyone can tell you that has been going there since Dale Payne came there in 1998. People come and people go but it has always been like everyone is out of step except the Payne's. Now would be a good time to take a good hard look at all the people that has left this church in the last 10 years. Everyone was always at fault except the one that really had the problem. Time to cut your loses and move on. Prayer changes things but we first have to know that we have something we need to pray about and God knows that we all do and I think now is a good time to get at doing what we know is right. This sound like something I read on another topic "suck it up". Well if you don't like what you are reading( petty non sense)( bull crap) change subjects. YOU are the one who opened this topic. DON"T OPEN IT! I do agree they should stop going to that church until this matter is resolved (removing the Payne family from that church). I find it hard to believe that all the people that have left could be at fault. If the same problems are still happening then you (the church) must not be getting rid of the true problem. Has anyone ever check to see what kind of problems this pastor had at other churches he pastored? Do you even know where he came from? I think it would be worth someones time to check this out. Well, since you are staying home, that will be 1 less devil in church.

The Paynes seem to be worried more about their selves than the church. If they really cared about the church then they would see the damage they are causing. They just need to leave. Why would anyone want to stay somewhere they are not wanted? The church has not grew any in the last 5 yrs. In number or spiritually. I think they are trying to stay because of the money and power. You may be asking how I know, I have been in this church all of my life. I was'nt going to say anything, but enough is enough. If I offend someone, you will just have to pray about it. If the Paynes don't leave, they will be shutting the doors on the church within 6 months. They can't survive on the few that are still going. Why they are still going, I have no idea. Maybe they just don't care, they just go because it makes them feel good to just go to church. Everyone just needs to pray and be patient. God will work it out His way and in His time. Amazing, It is funny how stories get askewed. I personally know these people and the situation was a total shock. The crippled lady and her husband were leaving the church. They were handing in their resignations because of past verbal assaults by the pastor's wife. When the crippled lady's mother handed the pastor her resignation, she said, "I love you Brother," He then started telling her that she didn't love him or the church. Sister Payne then came up the isle and started yelling at the cripple lady's mother to which, the cripple lady stepped up to her and said, "Sister Payne, don't talk to my mother like that." She did not yell or scream in the pastor's wife's face. Sister Payne then reared back and hit her across the face with her fist and then preceeded to choke her. The cripple lady does have pictures, she does have a police report but she chose not to press charges because she didn't want to harm the church. She contacted the overseer and arranged a meeting. The pastor's wife got probation for six months and she can't work at any positions in the church. Seems a mild punishment to me. Personally, I would have pressed charges. the cripple lady didn't even try to fight back. She could barely hold herself up on her crutches. Brother Payne had to pull his wife off the lady. That my friends, is cause for dismissal of the Paynes.

the preacher and preachers wife are supposed to be the leaders and pillars of their church, so there is no excuse for this kind of behavior, if it was me instead of the woman you are referring to someone would have been laid out if they put their hands on me plain as that, be it preachers wife, preacher or whatever, they of all people should know better than this,
