A man driving a Mercedes sedan went airborne, crashing through three fences and four yards at East Drake and South Timberline roads in a suspected drunken-driving incident, according to police.

The storm that dumped more than a foot of snow on parts of Loveland on Friday gave children a day off from school and left the soil with a heavy load of moisture.

Larimer County has hired a Loveland engineering firm to determine whether someone could build a house or cabin on a 5.7-acre parcel of land it owns on the Big Thompson River near Drake.
