A special called meeting to put a traffic light in front of Mickey's insurance business is more like it. I'm so sick of this shit. Bunch of crooks running our city and county.

Ok, I'm not getting exactly where this proposed light is to be installed. Could someone give specifics? I'm thinking right at I-20? I have comm prop on Fburn and hope, to some degree, that this will help the sell of my land.

The new traffic light will be directly in front of Janice Thompson State Farm Insurance on Fairburn Road about 1/2 mile southeast of I-20. Across from Janice Thompson State Farm Insurance will be the new Mickey Thompson City Court and Police Building. The value of property on a corner with a traffic signal is much higher than a corner without one, so Mickey is privately benefitting greatly from this traffic signal and from the location of the new City Court and Police HQ at this location.

Oh, I get it now. To explain it in terms we all understand, sort of like the School Board Attorney, Ken Bernard, benefits every time he buys property across the street from where the School Board is about to buy property.

I have tried for years to get something done about speeding on W Stewarts Mill. I can't pull out of my driveway without worrying someone is going to hit me. After complaining for several years they put a sign Hill Obstructs View and changed the speed limit. If cars aren't lowing down for 45 miles they sure aren't going to slow dow for 25 miles. I don't get it we have 2 daycares and one school on this road. I guess something will be done when a child or member of my family gets killed due to the speed on this road.

Thanks for the info. This light is not going to help my land sale, dangit. I've been a fan of Billy Upton State Farm for years and won't be doing business with J. Thompson.

282 traffic tickets on Stewart Mill and West Stewart mill in the last 12 months. It's not a good place to run RADAR, too hiily and curving.
