The final spot on the Dodge City town council was filled Thursday night when the council appointed local resident Murray Lowe to council seat 2. The position became available after long-time mayor Perry Ray stepped down due to health concerns in May and former council president Tawana Canada was appointed as mayor, which left a vacant council seat.
