In the spirit of July 4th someone put plastic flags in all our front lawns. So nice but did we really need more plastic in our landfills and how are we to dispose of them. Flags should be burned respectfully not melted into unrecognizable globs. Maybe they are a symbol of our country after all.

Oh please. Just enjoy the flags.

Save the flags for next year and the year after, why would you destroy them? If the PLASTIC flags last forever in a landfill, they'll last forever in your front yard too.

Should we not enjoy a fireworks show at Andrews Park because the explosives used in the show make smoke? Geez.
