It will cost Burnsville/Eagan/Savage home owners next year an additional $67.00 in property taxes on a $265,000 home just to pay for retired teachers medical, dental and life insurance. It's time for retired teachers to start paying for their own medical insurance just like everyone else.

Enough already with the school bennies. They work a 9 month year. Work short days. The teacher's union and the rest of the entitlement attitude by school districts has to go. If parochial schools can do the job better and at more efficiency, I'd rather see my tax money go there than to the public schools.

This should be made retro for the schools that already slipped it by.
