A body was found in the Deschutes River south of Bend Tuesday, Deschutes County Sheriff Larry Blanton confirmed late in the day.

A man who suffers from Alzheimer's disease wandered away from his southwest Bend home Wednesday morning, prompting a widespread search that found him, about 2 ½ hours later - having walked about five miles from his home, into Deschutes River Woods, authorities said.

Three people have been arrested in relation to a home invasion burglary that occurred Sunday morning, the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office said.

Bend Police arrest a Deschutes River Woods man in connection with three garage and vehicle break-ins earlier this week.
