Probation for dead Derby baby's mom
The mother of a 7-month-old girl who died from an overdose of cocaine and cold medicine has been given probation.

PROBATION!!!!!!!! thats wrong she should be doing time. I don't care if it was second hand smoke. Thats gross negligence.

They should have received at the least 18 months.... They killed an innocent baby... I think this is not right. |

They must have used Accelerated Rehabilitation, for first time offenders. Howver, I think it should have been waived in this case, and the 2 of them should have gotten at the very least some kind of prison time for negligent homicide. Or something. YMMV

she's a MOTHER. That, in our culture, means there is some kind of halo around her. She will be given the benefit of the doubt at every turn, and after all, it was a baby boy she killed.
By contrast, if a father had killed a baby girl, they would be considering the death penalty. I'm really referring to the original crime, not the violation of probation. She was given her kids back after she served a very light sentence. |

OMG! A baby dies and they basically got away with it. That's okay , when judgement day comes, both of them will be standing in front of the Almighty, one at a time and they will have to explain why they killed one of God's greatest creations. RIP little baby.
