EAST?LIVERPOOL?-Pershing F. Smith, 71, of East Liverpool, died Jan. 25th at home, after a long battle with cancer.

A former village utility clerk convicted of stealing $7,582 from Delta's utilities fund was sentenced Tuesday in Fulton County Common Pleas Court to 30 days in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio and to two years of community control.

For most of the past six months, embankments have risen for the new Hallett Avenue bridge over the Norfolk Southern Corp.
