Man accused in Bobo case also faces gun, sex-offender registration charges

A man charged with tampering with evidence in the Holly Bobo investigation also faces charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and violation of sex-offender registration requirements, according to court documents.

Recipes from dinner on the ground

<![CDATA[1 gallon cucumbers, sliced 4 cups sugar 4 cups apple cider vinegar 1 4 cup mustard seed 1 2 tsp. turmeric 13 cup celery seed (optional) 1 2 cup salt 4 large onions, sliced Don't cook; dissolve. Mix all ingredients. Cover. Place in refrigerator. Stir every so often. When they stop floating, pickles will be done. -- Sharon Sue Crawley, of Decaturville 2-pound bag white beans 1 package country ham pieces Put in a large Crockpot. Add water to cover; cook on low for 8 hours; add water if needed during cooking. -- Linda Wallace, of Decaturville Remove plastic and netting of the pork shoulder (approximately 10 pounds). Place meat in an aluminum foil-lined roasting pan. (Cross foil on the bottom with enough extra to cover the top of the meat.) Score the top of the shoulder about 6 times -- 1-inch cuts -- and pour 1 can of Dr. Pepper over the meat. Cover with foil and add the top of the pan. Press into 9-inch, deep-dish pie plate. Chill until set. Filling: 6 eggs 2 cans Eagle Brand milk Juice of six lemons Vanilla wafers to stand around the edges of pie Separate eggs, reserving egg whites for meringue. Beat yolks and milk, add lemon juice; beat until smooth. Stand wafers around top of crust; pour lemon mixture into crust. Meringue: 6 egg whites 1 2 tsp. cream of tartar 6 tbsp. sugar Beat whites and cream of tartar. When soft peaks form, gradually add sugar; beat until stiff. Pour meringue on pie and bake at 350 degrees until golden brown. This makes a large pie. -- Patsy Yarbro, of Decaturville 11 2 cups sugar 1 cup sour cream 1 2 cup butter, softened 2 eggs 3-4 bananas, mashed 2 tsp. vanilla 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 3 4 tsp. salt 1 2 cup walnuts, chopped (optional) Brown Butter Icing: 1 2 cup butter 4 cups powdered sugar 11 2 tsp. vanilla 3 tbsp. milk Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease and flour a 10-by-15-inch jelly roll pan. For the bars, in a large bowl, beat together sugar, sour cream, butter and eggs until creamy. Blend in bananas and vanilla; add flour, baking soda and salt and blend for 1 minute. Stir in the walnuts. Spread batter evenly into the pan. Bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Meanwhile, for frosting, heat butter in a large saucepan over medium heat until boiling. Let the butter turn a delicate brown and remove from heat immediately. Add powdered sugar, vanilla and milk; whisk together until smooth (thicker than glaze but thinner than frosting.) Using a spatula, spread the brown butter icing over the warm bars. -- Jill Story Roberts, of Hendersonville 4 cups Velveeta Cheese, shredded 1 small jar pimento, chopped and drained 1 4 cup white Karo Syrup, or to taste Mayonnaise, enough to mix above ingredients to spread well Mix all ingredients and spread on bread or crackers. -- Mildred Lacy Crawley, of Decaturville 23 gallon water 3 family-size tea bags Boil water, add tea bags and steep for about 8-10 minutes. Pour 11 2 cup sugar and a cap (up to the 2-quart line) Country Time Lemonade Mix into part of the 13-gallon water. Pour tea and remaining water into the sugared water and mix while still hot. Refreshing! -- Gail Story, of Decaturville 3 cups boiling water 3 family-size tea bags 12 fresh mint leaves 11 2 cups sugar 2 cups pineapple (or orange) juice 1 4 cup lemon juice Pour the boiling water over tea bags and mint; steep 5-10 minutes. Remove tea bags and mint, squeezing gently. Stir in sugar and juices; add more water to make one gallon. Serve over plenty of crushed ice. -- Patsy Yarbro, of Decaturville Crust: 1 stick butter 1 cup pretzels, crushed 13 cup sugar Mix and press into 9-by-13-inch glass casserole dish and bake for 10 minutes in a preheated 300-degree oven. Filling: 1 box cream cheese 1 cup sugar 1 small container Cool Whip Mix and spread over the cooled crust. 1 small box strawberry Jell-O Follow direction on the box; mix in frozen strawberries. Pour over cream cheese mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight. -- Carol Lunsford, of Adamsville
