Weston woman sentenced to rehab for fatal accident
A northwest Missouri woman who was driving during a fatal accident in 2010 was ordered to drug and alcohol rehabilitation for involuntary manslaughter Twenty-9-year-old Katie A. Stelljes of Weston pleaded guilty Wednesday in the death of 22-year-old Kristopher Owen of Dearborn.
Kevin Rawlings, the local elected official charged in a case of alleged government corruption, has hired a law firm with a national presence to represent him.
"I think every one of you ought to step down you need to leave now resign. Let other people step in here that are concerned about the taxpayers and their money!" Those are some of the comments made by several local taxpayers who are not pleased with the Northland Regional Ambulance District's board of directors these days.
A charge related to public corruption has been filed against an ambulance district board member who sold some of his land to the district last year.
