Davis bike path closed next week for construction work

This is par for the course--Davis gets its bike paths fixed while Esparto's streets have been neglected for years. They are in such a state of serious disrepair that it's getting more and more exspensive to repair with every passing day. What does Supervisor Chamberlain do about it? Nothing! Esparto has been told for years that there is "no money". But Davis gets the money to fix bike paths? Elitist, don't you think? What is it about Esparto that the Supervisors constantly neglect Esparto's needs?

The Davis bike path and Esparto streets are fixed (or not) out of different pots of money. Chamberlain didn't dish out for Davis bike paths, although he may be responsible for Esparto's streets.

The bike paths extend beyond the Davis City Limits, so any portion of that bike/pedestrian path is maintained by the Yolo County "pots of money". |
