Fire damages garage near Downers Grove

Fire damaged the garage of a home in unincorporated Downers Grove Jan. 12. According to a report from the Darien-Woodridge Fire District, the owner of the home at 5859 Belmont Road, dialed 911 at about 7:09 p.m. when he noticed smoke coming from his garage.
