The H.M Trails are a lot of fun for the whole family. My family rides them almost weekly. we love the sites of nature & having the trails so close is great! Come & ride the trails & see how much fun & adventure you will have. Always be safe!!!

I will answer why? If you could ride the H.M Trails you would see it is not at all the same experience of a back yard or highway riding experience. Which is fine if that is what one likes. The trails allow you to ride on terrain that A.T.V's are designed for. With all the different trails ranging from easy to extreme, it allows you to choose what is best for you. For the rider that doesn't have a lot of experience stick with the easiest trails. For the more experienced rider there are trails ranging from more difficult, most difficult, extreme difficult. It is just good clean-dirty fun...LOL!

WE WANT OUR TRAILS BACK! There arent many places to ride anymore that arent part of the "hatfeild Mccoy Trail" We have to pay to enjoy the mountains we call home. I know it's good for tourism and all, but it sucks to have to pay to ride. As residents shouldnt we be entitled to a discount or something?

well personally I have rode in these mountains for years. Long before the H/M trail system came through. I think that it is a shame to have to pay for something we have enjoyed for years.Yes it may be good for tourism and all that , but I do agree that those of us who live ib this area should not have to pay . and when did the price go down to $26.00 when I payed for mine it was over 60.00 and I lived in WV .

and we all know how to spell , but sometimes our fingers do tend to hit the wrong buttons (especially when you have nails). BUT sometimes our computer will not let us SPELL any PROFANITY the correct way. so you have to leave a letter out OR you have to substitute it for another . so you must be perfect in YOUR OWN LITTLE WORLD .

Like drinking water, you would think it would be free because we live close to the river. I don't think so! It does take money to run it through a process to make sure it is safe to drink. God only knows what contaminates are hidden in Tug river. However if we the community can capitalize & benefit from the tourist coming in this area just for trail riding than so be it! Really what does small towns in the coalfield have to offer that other towns don't have? We don't have Kings Island or a zoo. We don't have the beach or Bush Gardens & so on. The fee of $26 is for a yr. not bad! When people come in from out of town it brings money to this area when they get a hotel buy eats & gas. It keeps our community going. The business man or woman can keep their businesses open & not have to lay off their employee's. It is a win win situation. The Taxes from the working people then go to pay for a lot of the freebies that the nonworking people receive.

dusty rose,

are those trails maintained with attention payed to the drainage system? i do not want to start a conversation in which i try to explain why home trails are detrimental to the system.just
wondered about questions.
