How does this organization expect people to give, give, and give to their causes when they are not pursuing criminal charges against Bendrea Wilson and her five "friends"? People work hard for their money and this organization expects donations while these crooks/thieves get the money and not even a slap on the hand???? I don't think so!! I know a civil suit has been filed but according to news reports Bendrea told FBI agents the money was spent. Probably so on Hummers and other lavish things ordinary honest working people can't afford!

It's like this folks. Civil comes first, then a Grand jury meets, then there will be an indictment or several. All in due process. Patience, please, patience. This is much bigger than you may think.

Please read, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. And after reading your post it dawned on me that BBBS did report this to the FBI. This shows their intent on criminal charges being filed.

So one person in an organization is able to steal 1/3 of the total budget? It seems that someone else was asleep at the wheel. Did she have free reign to write all of the checks she wanted with no oversight? Whoever is in charge needs to be fired.

Well, it's quite obvious she had free reign to write the checks.....or she just got them and didn't follow the usual process of getting the checks cleared through the company, such as obtaining the needed signatures.....just put all the names on there herself. What baffles me is why didn't somebody at some point of time ask who these people are that all these checks are written to. And if most of the money was gotten in the past 2 months, then some of them had to be for some hefty amounts.

Not True about staff having free reign. I heard that they hired an outside firm to handle their bookkeeping. Probably kept some checks on hand to cover emergency expenses. This woman was pretty savvy. I'd bet that the bank caught it when some fool went in to cash a check written to themselves. Smart teller! Good Eye.

These should all be volunteer positions anyway if they really cared.
