I think that this bond would have a better chance to pass if instead of spending more on the athletic programs money would be better spent on expanding the math and science programs. i think all of us agree that the middle schools second floor needs to be completed and all of us would be happy to pay for this construction work.

a band building? my understanding is getting kids to participate in band is just about impossible. i don't think a band bldg would change this fact.

Bruce I agrre with you. I am a city tax payer and might have voted for the bond had the school district left out the fieldhouse part of it. Matter of fact I would probally voted yes for a whole new Ele school to be built. But as long as the school district is asking for a 2 million fieldhouse, my vote will always be no. Why does Danbury need a 2 million fieldhouse, our football team does not even win. To DISD we, the tax payers, have voted this down two years in a row, do not ask for another bond for the next several years and next time leave out the fieldhouse and maybe, just maybe, it will pass.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Aries

Someone wants to go their own way today and they won't care whose feathers they ruffle in the process. It's a lunar eclipse at the Full Moon in Cancer, so let them get on with it. The last thing you should do now is to hang on to their coat-tails or do anything else that will make them feel restricted. Make it plain that you've got your own fish to fry, thank you very much. And try not to let it stop you enjoying yourself. Have a great night!
