Flint-born author Christopher Paul Curtis sets depression-era children's novel near Flint
Author Christopher Paul Curtis 's new book, published in January, " The Mighty Miss Malone ," starts off in Gary, Indiana before the protagonist's family troubles land them in "a Hooverville outside Flint, Michigan." There, Deza Malone, her mother and brother hope to find their father who left in search of work some time before.
