5/8 - Fourth-grader brings knives to South Penn

CUMBERLAND - A fourth-grade student at South Penn Elementary School was taken to the police department by a school resource officer after two knives were found in the student's backpack Wednesday, according to the Allegany County Board of Education. The student has been suspended indefinitely, pending the result of an investigation by school personnel, according to the board.
