Peru becomes first local school to close due to illness
Here's a rundown of how many absences were reported Thursday at area schools that were able to supply numbers: Beekmantown Central School District: Students - High School, 90; Middle School, 50; Beekmantown Elementary, 56; Cumberland Head, 20; Faculty - High School, 3; Middle School, 3; Beekmantown Elementary, 5.5; and Cumberland Head, 3.5.
Peru schools have high absenteeism
