Onetime sheriff candidate turns in husband, who's charged with felony cultivation of marijuana
The husband of onetime Monroe County sheriff candidate Sandra Downs was booked into the county jail Monday morning -- after his wife helped deputies locate rooms in her husband's alleged marijuana grow house.Nicholas Downs, 42, is charged with two felony counts of cultivating marijuana.
Julie Logsdon and Olivier Etrillard were married April 25 in Cudjoe Key. The bride is the daughter of Gary and June Young of Lantana and John and Susan Logsdon of Palm Beach.
A private group of wastewater consultants told Monroe County commissioners Wednesday that they could give the commission "101 million reasons" why they should take over the Cudjoe Regional wastewater project, referring to the dollars county residents could save over 20 years.
