May 20 marks 110 years of Cuba's independence from Spanish rule and America's temporary occupation of the island.

A 68 year old Fairbury man was taken to a Lincoln Hospital Wednesday morning following a two vehicle crash in Republic County Kansas on Kansas Highway 159 at 260th Road about 11 2 miles south of Cuba.
