Caller reporting a property damage wreck involving a vehicle that hit a stop sign and then ran into someone's yard, Bethany Road and Main Street, Caller reporting an attempted burglary, 5500 block South Indiana 135.

Police said Joseph Smedley was jogging northbound on South Kovener Street in Crothersville, Ind., when he hit by a car while crossing West Main Street.

Joseph T. Smedley, of Crothersville, was jogging along South Kovener Street just after 8 p.m. Wednesday when he crossed West Main Street into the path of an oncoming car, police said.

Indiana State Police Trooper Seth Davidson was the first on the scene and reported 13-year-old Joseph T. Smedley of Crothersville had suffered a "severe fracture to his lower right leg." This story appears in the print edition of The Tribune.

Jackson County Public Library will hold free book discussions for adults in coming days at the Crothersville and Medora libraries.

Billy Joe Dugard, age 36, of Crothersville, Ind., was taken into custody without incident May 2 in Columbusi, Ohio, according to an FBI news release today.

The Crothersville boys and Trinity Lutheran girls used their depth to win a five-way track and field meet on Thursday on the Tigers' track.

Authorities said 26-year-old Ashley Lorine Joyce Owens, of Lexington, Ind., and 36-year-old Billy Joe Dugard, of Crothersville, Ind., were arrested at 7323 state Route 37 in Sunbury at about 7:09 p.m. Wednesday.
