Big Fish Pulled Through Ice on Area Lake

Ron Asp, resident of Kelly Lake (Oconto County), pulled a large northern pike through the ice on Kelly Lake at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, January 23.

The length of the fish was 35 and one-half inches and weighed 11 pounds.

According to the WDNR, the record weight for a northern pike caught on hook-and-line on a Wisconsin lake was 38 pounds. It was caught Aug. 6, 1952 on Puckaway Lake (Green Lake County) by J.A. Rahn.

Packers increase ticket prices for 2010

By Don Walker of the Journal Sentinel Jan. 22, 2010 The Green Bay Packers announced Friday they would increase ticket prices by an average of $9 a ticket next season. The increases range from $8 to $11, depending on the Lambeau Field section. The increase marks the first increase since the 2007 season.
