The Coleman-Pound Lions Club has been in the process of building a "Walk of Fame" at Lions Point on the south entrance to Coleman on County Trunk CP/Business Highway 141.

The club has already has established a flagpole. welcome sign and gazebo. The next project stage is to lay a sidewalk from the street west of the area to the gazebo, which would include a "Walk of Fame".

According to Ted Verges, club member, the Walk of Fame will be created by selling memorial lettered bricks to edge the sidewalk.

"The bricks will commemorate individuals, families, businesses and organizations of the Coleman-Pound area," Verges said. "The proceeds from the project will be used to build the sidewalk, finance improvements at Lions Point and support other Lions Club charitable contributions. The success of the project in essential on the help of indivduals and businesses."

Amanda Kempka of Crivitz graduated Nov. 16 after completing the 1800 hour barber/cosmetology program at Wisconsin College of Cosmetology in Green Bay.
