2,000 Without Power in East County

According to SDG&E, nearly 900 customers were without power in the Lakeside area beginning at 1 p.m. Restoration in that area is expected by 3:30 p.m. SDG&E said the power was shut off for "safety reasons while repairs are being made," but no further information was given.
