Around Del Norte: A home to 50 kids over the years

Michelle and Tom Moore love their kids - all 50 of them. The Crescent City couple has been foster parents for the past 12 years for children ages newborn to 17. In the past 10 years, some have stayed with the Moores for just a few hours, others for a few years.

It was 50 years ago this month that a 9.2 magnitude earthquake in Alaska sent a tsunami surging down the coastline, causing $1 million damage in Marin as 8-foot waves bounced boats around Loch Lomond Marina in San Rafael and knocked out pilings at Lawson's Landing near the mouth of Tomales Bay.
