With all the debates over the "rights" of the people these days, One would be wise to take the time to find the answers to the most important questions being raised and the reasoning behind them. One of our Forefathers, Thomas Jefferson, was notorious for hitting on several of the issues before us today. Here is a list of quotes from speeches/letters which fully address the role, or lack there of, of government in our society. 2. The issue of health care reform is the hottest topic in the government today, yet we the people are screaming "NO!" Poll after poll shows the majority against the governments involvement in health care, but are they listening? They are ignoring "You the people" and deciding that they must act on your behalf because you don't really know what you want. Thomas Jefferson said, "Was the government to prescribe to us our medicine and diet, our bodies would be in such keeping as our souls are now."
