Batesville sales tax collections for March exceeded all previous years according to information recently released by the Miss.

Panola County supervisors have approved road department projects in Crenshaw and Sardis to gain materials for riprap, but the county board balked at cooperating with the City of Sardis on a third project.

The town of Crenshaw and a Sardis church are requesting county labor in exchange for riprap, and a Sardis alderwoman also asked for dirt for city-owned property.

Panola County supervisors voiced approval Monday for the sheriff's department to provide dispatch services for the Town of Como and to seek a second such contract with Crenshaw.
