The U.S. Geological Survey confirmed the area between Chadron and Crawford, and Hot Springs, S.D., has had two small earthquakes this week.

An earthquake that shook houses in northwest Nebraska Sunday night was focused on a region between Chadron and Hot Springs, S.D. where a deep-seated fault was recently discovered.
