Very sad to have this happen. I hope the woman has a complete and quick recovery from this accident. My sympathies also go to the driver who will have some rough times ahead psychologically. I wish her a complete and quick recovery also. Now, when you consider the large number of hit and runs we've had lately, my admiration goes out to this particular driver. This woman had the moral fiber and sense of responsibility to stop after the accident and obey the law. She apparently wasn't speeding or on drugs/alcohol. Yes, sad accident but an accident. Not another case of irresponsible drivers breaking our laws against speeding, drinking or any other of the crimes involved in hit and runs. My best wishes to all involved.

I'm suprised this doesn't happen more often. People walk in the street at night, dressed completely in black, and it's tough to see them. Don't know it that's the case here but by 5:43pm it was already dark.

This would not have happened if all cars were equipped with turbo boost, like knight Rider, just one button and it would have jumped right over her.

I would also have to say kudos to the young driver who was responsible enough to stop and not turn this incident into a hit and run like many we hear about in SGV.

Wishing the lady a quick recovery.

If a driver doesn't yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. Give the b---h driver a ticket. Why don't you cops start giving out tickets? What the hell is wrong with you?

My prayers go out to the lady and her family. And wish her a speedy recovery. The driver should pay for this if she was crossing in a crosswalk. There are way to many who jaywalk and should be held responsible for that. Police should cite those who do and make them pay.

Actual you all are wrong. I live across the street
and this not the first time someone has ended up in my yard. a few months ago a woman crossing the street pushing a stroller was hit. the woman bounced off the windshield and the stroller and infant were on oposite sides of the street. The cross walk is a death trap and the responsability of the Covina. i have been hit twice turning down my street so i go around the block. No traffic signal and poorly lit. Not even the flashing lights to alert drivers when the cross walk is in use. I t has been this way for 20 years and the city has ignored it. I hope they , the city, get sued.

This lady was in the crosswalk. So why are we giving kudos to the person who hit a pedestrian and stopped? Isn't that what they are supposed to do by LAW? As a driver you need to be observant of all of your surroundings before you get into the car, especially at night. Because certain streets are not well lit is not an excuse to why it should be o.k. That just means as a driver you should be more careful!!!
I hope that the city of Covina does take care of this crosswalk so that accidents against pedestrians don't continue to happen. Since they give everybody a license nowadays.
I hope the victim has a fast a speedy recovery.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Aries

There is minor evil around today, whether it is harsh words or actions. Relationships with non spiritual people will tend to be abrasive, as you come to understand that such people can never be trusted, for their agenda is not love. Beware of criticism from colleagues or friends. Avoid being narrow minded and confining your views to the conventional. You may want to argue with everyone and everything, but beware of devouring your own energy in the process.
