The Chatterbox a cool place to hang out
THE PLACE: Just a little more than a year after changing ownership, The Chatterbox in Covina has changed from a hole-in-the-wall dive bar to a cool hole-in-the-wall hangout.

1 I wonder how much the bar owners are paying the local police to turn their heads. Being a ex smoker, I never found it too difficult to step outside for a smoke instead of being a pompous ass and blowing it in everyone else faces. Book em Dano. |

i'd personally give it 4 stars.

I would probably give it 5 stars - if there were stars to be given. But the rating isn't stars, it's to let people know what type of nightlife to expect. You know, lounge vs. a dance club. And to the other comment from out of state - how would you know? Smokers suck! I think the reviewer is reffering to Rude Dog's down the street or The Well and that other dive off San Bernardino Road that don't say anything to the smokers. The few times I have been at Rude Dog's, cops have come in thru the back to try to catch smokers but someone always warns them and they don't get caught, they need to shut that place down man. |

I love this place! I slowed dance with a pretty, chubby girl all night, and I only spent twenty seven dollar! She tasted of cigarettes, which reminds me of strippers. The bartender was a chubby mexican guy with a great smile, and the bar back looked like a mexican Fred Durst. Needless to say, I was impressed

I don't care what your position is on the smoking in/out side or anything, but i know a good time when i see one. Several mondays ago a buddy and i had a blast there telling all the young girls that we were members of the electro pop sensation N.E.R.D. while we waited for Mr.Mister's "Broken Wings" to be called up to bat by the karaoke host. its a rare day where you find a place where stuff like this is not just tolerated, but celebrated. I defy you to have a better time in covina... i DEFY you!!!

OMG! Let's get something straight: U can't begin to talk about "The BoX" without mentioning their star bartender/owner, Edward 'Jonas' Peckham. Wow! I don't know what's more amazing, that white boy or his white russian. In fact, i even baked him cookies to top off the even sweeter tip he already recieved from me. Seriously, as a strong minded, independent latina, this is the only bar/tender for me. Come check it out party people!

Chatter box= a bunch of Affliction shirt wearing wannabe mix martialart fighters. But the bartenders are pretty cool. But in all not a bad time.

I have been there only a couple of times. And I had a blast everytime!! Woo hoo... the BOX!!!

Who the hell cares about Jonas? Steve is the cutest bartender in all of Covina. He plays all the best songs and serves the best drinks. My recommedation: Smirnoff Blueberry and tonic. Oh snap!

HERE'S the thing: I've got huge truck and I love Sublime. Hell, I used to be racist! But the Chatterbox introduced me to new races, and through their book club,I've even given Nietche a shot!Bottom line: I'm voting for Obama in November!
