Strawberry Social is a Coupeville tradition
Nearly 125 years after the original Strawberry Social, the Coupeville United Methodist Church congregation this year joins the past generations of Methodists in serving strawberries to raise money for missions.
The 2008 Strawberry Social will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28 in the Fellowship Room of the church, 608 N. Main. Profits will be used to support the salaries of Dr. Jeff Hoover and Dr. Ellen Hoover, teachers in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Pastor Devi Bhujel from Kathmandu, Nepal.
