The U.S. Geological Survey has reported a 2.6 magnitude earthquake that happened at 4:38 p.m. about eight miles east of Cottageville, S.C. Wednesday's shake marks the second in the area in less than a month.

A Summerville woman who is the property manager of a residence on Lionel Lane in Summerville came to the property to make an unusual discovery: a young couple was living there and had been for a couple of weeks, apparently unaware that they were not legally allowed to be there.

Lexington County Coroner Harry O. Harman has identified the motorcyclist who was killed in a collision on Interstate 26 in Lexington County at approximately 11:56 p.m. on Monday, August 22 as James Allen Farmer, 28, of Cayce.

Norman Henn, 50 of Cottageville, SC, was arrested late Monday afternoon on a second degree robbery charge.
