Cheaper train tickets available

Metro-North Railroad wants to sell you a cheaper train ticket. Commuters who regularly buy a monthly ticket can shave 2 percent off the price if they enroll in Metro-North's Mail&Ride program at www.mta.info. "It's the most efficient way to buy and sell tickets," said Marjorie Anders, a spokeswoman for the railroad.

City police have identified the man killed Monday night in a motorcycle crash. Kyle O. Lau, 18, of New Windsor was riding a motorcycle about 10:35 p.m. on West Street when he struck a disabled trailer that was left in the road.
