The adage is that pregnant women shouldn't take drugs of any sort in fear of harming their baby.

CORNLEA, Neb. - A fast-developing tornado that broke out of a thunderstorm late Thursday afternoon destroyed a house and caused other damage northwest of here.

An eastern Nebraska farm family found safety in their house basement as a tornado ripped apart their home.

The storm struck the farm around 5:30 p.m. Thursday. The farmstead sits about two miles west and a mile north of the Platte County village of Cornlea.

This year's route for the Great Nebraska Tractor Ride has been set. The sixth annual ride runs June 17-18. Upward of 200 antique tractors are expected on the journey through several northeast Nebraska communities.
