2 collectives open in Red Bluff

Oh boy here comes the fear mongering and uneducated views of the world famous Red Bluff City Council .Wow keystone towny's
at their worst, guess what Red Bluff when they get their butt's sued off and have to pay these coop's you citizens will be fittin the bill with your taxes just think about that........

instead of talking banning... lets talk taxing... we could sure use the money... what it comes down to is we need some form of control on it... ill be the first to admit that... but what we dont need is fear and all out dismissal... and the nuisance law... wtf is that... i dont want my neighbors to raise cattle any more cuz i can smell that shit at my house

Then don't live in the country if you don't want to smell the animals. Your argument makes no sense the two are not related at all.

The city counsel was elected by the people of this community and are responsible to this community to make this a good place to do all three.

If the marijuana is a "prescription drug", why is it purchased at a collective instead of at the pharmacy like all other prescription drugs?

I agree that now is NOT the time for fear mongering and showing the reefer madness videos again. Red Bluff and Tehama County for that matter needs to get educated on Medical Marijuana. It is an herbal plant that has medicinal values. Americans use many herbs today as vitamin supplements. Echinachia, St. Johns wort, valerian root, etc. for example. These herbs like marijuana help with a variety of different ailments. Valerian root is to calm nerves, echinachia are used to fight off colds. The people of California voted to give us medical marijuana patients the legal right to grow and smoke/eat, whatever our dosage mechanism is with a Physicians recommendation. SB420 cleared it up a little bit more by stating that we can have others grow for us if we live somewhere that we cannot grow our own. Obama also promised to call off the DEA raids on medical marijuana. The fear that someone is going to get high on THC (thats what gets you high for those of you who are uneducated), and going out killing others or getting violent. Marijuana does not have the same effect on you that ALCOHOL does. Marijuana does not make you violent. Yet alcohol is legal. As far as those people who say that they cannot go out and enjoy their backyard because the smell makes them high are full of baloney. You cannot get high from smelling it. You have to either ingest it or smoke it. If it bothers you so much plant your yard with a lot of flowering plants to help cover the scent

Because it is much safer than those perscription drugs

In L.A. they do have Farmacy's. It is the drug manufacturers that want marijuana kept illegal. They cannot come up with a man-made drug that is comparable without harmful side affects. They have tried and came up with a pill called Marinol. Marinol has more harmful side affects than Marijuana. I would gladly go to my pharmacist and pay for a tin of rolled marijuana cigarettes along with my other prescriptions, but it is much easier and cheaper to grow your own.

Because you apparently know that the city of red bluff is passing a "nuisance ordinance" about the smell of marijuana... since you live in redding and all i figured you know the cities local business....

In reality, this all seems like a terrible joke. Red Bluff City Council to Ban Medical Marijuana. Get over yourselves, its legal here, your town is in california, so its legal there too. I agree with you HMM. If these Council members cannot or is it WILL NOT enforce our right under Prop 215 and SB420. They waste our tax dollars on frivolous lawsuits that as taxpayers we have to pay for. I know my profile says I am in Redding and I dont know why or how to change it .. but I am in Red Bluff. I see several seats that may lose my vote for throwing away money on lawsuits and harassing law abiding patients, collectives, and co-ops. Tehama County wants us to voluntarily pay them $185 for a VOLUNTEER medical marijuana ID card. The state only gets $33 of it. That is besides the money I have to pay my doctor for the exam to get my recommendation. Other counties are much lower like around $25. Why does our county wish to rip us off such a high fee??? Red Bluff and Tehama County are going to become a statistic in the Justice systems with lawsuits popping up everywhere for taking away our options to safe access. I would not be surprised to see a major class action suit brought forth by many patients who feel their rights are being violated. Wake up Red Bluff before you turn this into a night mare.

HAHAHAHA... i've lived here in Red Bluff my entire life and i haven't herd that one, but maybe it's because a collective is located right next to the Sheriffs Department. LOL...

I'm curious how you would expect the council to act otherwise. The federal ban on pot is currently superceding the state laws allowing it. if you want to change the fed law,then thats where you need to address your arguements first..your location is defined by your ISP address(internet providers location)none of us can change it without changing providers.

What is wrong with your town? Sounds like the ones who make dicisions on your living will have there hands full. this is a billion dollar interprize and they will be ready to give your town run for there money. cause they have more than all of cities and states. What I would like to know is... How can any of us feel safe and confident in our system if our local "leaders" are able to decide for themselves that they do not have to uphold the state laws?It doesn't matter that it's about medical marijuana.What scares me ,and should scare all of us, is the fact that ignorant local yokels can in full public view, directly oppose state law!Today it's this issue.What is on the agenda next? What else are these local heroes going to decide for us no matter what state law dictates? I for one am livid about the blatant disregard for the very system that employs these icons of public office.Uphold the laws!!!! And for the record, I do live in Red Bluff.

BTW, how do we change the city it says we r from? Iv'e never been to St. Louis in my life lol...

You can't change the city location because it registers where your ISP hits the web(internet provider) if you have satelite it could be from anywhere.
