Clarence was a U.S. Army veteran having served in Japan and Korea. He worked at Elkem Metals for 33 years as Head Tapper and Crane Operator.
Winners crowned at 4th annual TNT Pageant
The 2012 Miss and Mister Point Pleasant TNT Pageant was recently held and a total of 10 winners were crowned.
It looked like a plate of spaghetti and meatballs, but it was really the grand champion cake baked by Jean Burkhammer of Coolville entered in the cake contest held to raise money for the Meals on Wheels program for Meigs County's home-bound seniors.
He was born Oct. 11, 1930 in Parkersburg, to the late James Hartman Day and Virginia Deem Day.
