Boy Killed In Drive-By Shooting In Compton
A boy was killed Saturday in a drive-by shooting in Compton, a sheriff's deputy said.
The shooting occurred about 3:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of North Santa Fe Avenue, near Rosecrans Avenue, said Deputy Hugo Macias of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The boy was getting in a vehicle when a light-colored Dodge Charger stopped nearby and an occupant shot him, Macias said.
The boy, whose name and age was not released, was pronounced dead at a hospital, he said. Read more

A gunman killed an 18-year-old man in Compton Saturday, a sheriff's deputy said.
Craig Moore of Los Angeles was fatally shot in the 1600 block of West Piru Street at 3:12 p.m., said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Luis Castro.
Moore was taken to a hospital and declared dead, he said. Read more
