Alright! What's the deal? Is everybody going insane one at a time? Throw this s.o.b. in the cage, grind the key down to metal filings, and WELD the damn door shut. Done.

I think that he got off easy. If the judicial system would return to the belief of an eye for an eye than most criminals would think twice before they shot someone. That sorry excuse for a man needs to be tied to a post and shot just like he shot that poor helpless little boy. People get off way too easy.

Yep, I agree, with all three of you. And all of this over a piece of watermelon???? If his life isn't taken like the child's was, then I wish they would make him eat watermelon, for the rest of his life.

"Don't kill in MY Name" above: I KNOW, is everybody going nuts or what? Have you seen the movie Frailty? If so, remember when Bill Paxton's characters saw the demons in evil people when he touched them, the little flashes of what was behind the mask of their faces---I picture the men like this one, the Anthony girl that killed her own child, and the hundreds of other women that have done the same, the serial killers, and Michael Vick--I'd like to see what Paxton's character would see if he shook hands with one of THESE people--

Yep, they get off too easy. Didn't see in the article, is he eligible for parole? The judicial system will wait for everybody to forget about this, then turn this nutcase loose amongst us, in about 3 or 4 years.

Jennifer, no I haven't seen the movie, but got goose bumps when I read your description of it! I take it that what he saw during the little flash was the face of the true personality (for lack of better wording) of the person? That's spooky!
Hey, it's not just the women killing their kids...what about that guy a couple of months ago (out west somewhere, I think Ca) that poured gas on his own 2 year old baby and set her on fire, then watched as she ran in circles!! Damn jerk. If I was in favor of the d.p.(which I'm not) he'd go straight to the front of the line. He did get a death sentence. Had I been there he wouldn't have been concerned with a trial or sentencing.

Anyway, getting back to the guy in the subject of this thread, he got life without a chance of parole + 25 years on a weapons charge. So he's a permanent resident :o) He's 55 now so he's maybe got 30, 35 years to either think about what he did, or just sit and rot away. And I'm fine with either. It'll be less expensive on his state than killing the worthless bastard.

If you haven't seen Frailty, you should check it out. When I hear of things like this guy in Commerce, and the story you mentioned, and the hundreds of others you see on Nancy Grace, I just can't help but think that this is not a normal person, and that "demon" philosophy is the only thing I can make "work" when thinking about what kind of a person could do these things. Yes, you're right, it's not just the mothers killing the kids, it's both, mothers and fathers killing their own young. Then you have the kids killing their parents, and their classmates--Dang, scary stuff.

I am in favor of the DP. In incidents when there is no doubt that this person committed the type of heinous crime that carry the death penalty sentence, it's the best case scenario. Not for revenge, but for self preservation. Yea, they need to keep a few around like Jeffrey Dahmer and the BTK killer to study, but for the most part, shut them down--let's don't ever have to worry about this sick person escaping and hurting others or even just worry about the possibility that they might breed!!

Good that this man cannot be paroled, makes the world a safer place.

Daily Horoscope for December 4

Taurus

Someone simply isn't being realistic or practical today, Taurus. He or she seems to be lost in a dream world of wishful thinking and idealism, none of which has much to do with what's really going on. Unfortunately, they won't want to hear any of this and may even manipulate the situation so they don't have to listen to your opinions. Be careful when dealing with this character and try not to get sucked into this desire to escape reality at all costs.
