I agree if you want something osne then show your support. The visual scors are important in band competitions, but they can be over come by a big musical score as well as others. The kilts are a part of the Glasgow tradition and should be kept. The band has proven they are winners with the kilts in the past. Low scores have got to be blamed on something. I really think the last few band directors have not used the kilts and the bagpipes in thier favor, they have let them be a burden. Loosing the kilts would be like the football team changing to red colors instead of blue. I don't think I have ever heard a coach say "If we had worn red or a different color the out come sould have been different" yeah I know that the sports teams are not judged on uniforms, but work with what you have and make it work for you.

This video brought tears to my eyes! What year was this? The uniforms don't seem as bulky as the ones today. Is there a difference in them somehow?

First off I am a BCHS and WKU alum, but I have always loved and respected the Scottie Band. I really loved it when they had bagpipers and damn keep the kilts, please! I don't think its the unis keeping them down in competition , it goes to the top , the band director. I NEVER though I would live to see the day when Barren County High School Band would shine over the Scottie Band and they have. Fire that stupid band director and get back your great tradition and this comes from an old Barn county boy!

I agree. I've wondered what all th ehooplah is about. Saying the kilts are giving them low marks because it messes up the "lines" is COP OUT! The band has won in the past with the kilts on, so apparently it's the band director. I think the school should get a new director, not a new uniform.

Yes much like any sports kids in high school played. They all take up time and are just meant as a diversion. I never thought about it like that before!

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Aquarius

Keep calm and all will be well. You're feeling slightly fraught because there are so many demands on your time, and it won't help if you're trying to juggle some last-minute chores with some fun-filled social events. Get others to lend you a hand, or tell yourself that perfection is not an option right now and that you'll have to scale down your preparations accordingly.
