Correction: John Sutherland, Fred Williams and Debra French are the Commission. Javier Diaz is still in the "good ol boy" system. He always abstains from voting which means he will always cover up for the corrrupt people (Scott Vinson and others). Can't wait for the next election, we will show him...enjoy your last few years, if people were smart, they would try and get him out before he does more damage to this community.

Better Lawyer-Up, Dona and Craig! You're playing in a different ballgame now with this current Commission and a much wiser (and ethical) County Manager. This could turn out to be a long, legal journey for this "contract."
These Commissioners are showing some RESPONSIBILITY, finally!

Diaz, a Democrat, has 3 years to go but he can face a RECALL! In campaign speeches, Candidate Diaz promised south-county voters he would immediately support a 5 member Commission!

Yet at the May 14th Commission Meeting he voted the only "NO" on a motion to begin the process..... and it took all 3 AYES to move forward.

Many Republicans supported him based on his promise to give south-county folks better representation. No one likes elected officials who won't keep their word.

Maybe when this Grand Jury starts up, all these people will get investigated for fraud, especially Diaz, who seemed to be in office at the time, plus all the rest involved.

FARMING FOR YEARS sounds like he knows a few important facts/details..........very interesting, but the truth will be coming out sooner or later.......

CLARIFICATION: "Sunnyside Farm deal" took place in 2007-08! Commissioners at that time were Holdridge--Allan--Jordan. Diaz previously served on School Board and was elected to his first term on the Commission Nov.2008, and was sworn in Jan. 2009!

SUGGESTION: Pull up Luna County Commission Minutes for "FUN" reading and you will get a better picture, but it does take time... www.lunacountynm.com (GOOGLE IT)

However, the Minutes are seriously not current....and yet new people were supposedly trying to solve that problem??? The County Clerk is required by State Law to have Minutes done in 10 business days, which she does!!!

The time lag is due to approval at next regular Commission meeting, yet it seems as if it is STILL taking 3 to 4 months to Post them on the internet...Which leaves the Public way behind and depending on local news media for "some" information.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Pisces

If you-know-who has been getting on your nerves recently, matters will soon come to a head and force you to take drastic action. As Mars turns tail in your sixth house, you might finally lose your rag with someone at work who's been testing your patience to the limit. Stand your ground if you feel you're being messed about in some way. Clear the air if needs be, but don't create a really nasty atmosphere by throwing an eye-popping tantrum. Take care of any infections.
