Should council limit people who talk?
The First Amendment gives us the freedom to express ourselves, but it says nothing about how often we can speak or how long we can talk.
How often and how long are questions members of Columbus Council should consider if they want to deal with the age-old problem of the public agenda and the people who dominate it.
For a newspaper person to tinker with the First Amendment may seem strange. Journalists usually stand on freedom of speech as if it is a God-given right.

His movements quieted a few moments after the clerk read the guilty verdicts for voluntary manslaughter and possession of a gun during the commission of a crime, his right hand shielding his eyes.
Nickerson was acquitted of felony and malice murder. Read more
