Who really cares that they were selling pot? There is no real reason for it to be illegal anyways. In this economy it would only make sense to legalize pot and HEMP and tax it. And as far as the media making such a big deal about two officers being arrested, who cares? I bet there weren't too many people in Springfield who didnt know they were dealing anyways.

The state of the economy makes no argument for or against the legalization of pot. The state already taxes it but very few people realize this. http://www.somerset-kentucky.com/editorials/l...

Why don't we talk about all the good that the deputies involved in this matter and all the local police do to help keep our county safe. Can we try not to run our police force and the name of our good town through the trash, rather we should show support to ALL of our local law enforcement.

If they were selling pot to your kids you would care. It is a PROVEN fact that people who smoke pot often try other drugs. Its just downhill from there. Regardless of how well liked a drug dealer is, a dealer is still a dealer. Even if they only sell pot, they are STILL a drug dealer.

It's funny how the KSP toots thier own horn for arresting some small time deputies but when one of thier own kills a man in handcuffs they rush to defend him.

I have a respect for law and order that is absolute. There is such a thing as right and wrong. The deputies in question are innocent until proven guilty but they do stand accused of crimes they swore an oath to uphold. I believe we have decent individuals on call in our town but the "code" that they abide by keeps them from turning the bad officers in. They depend on each other on a daily basis and if there was ever a doubt that you were a "rat" you more than likely would not return home that night. Cold hard truth.

Those of you who are defending these two need a mental evaluation! Everyone in town knows these two along with most of our sheriffs department are not law abiding citizens and have very few morals. I hate that our county is getting a bad name from all of the publicity but it is BIG news. Shame on you for defending them. They took an oath to uphold the law that they have broken and I hope they get to serve time over this. Some of those who they have busted will have a wonderful time greeting them and introducing them to jail life! You know what they say about the soap!

Do you mean ensuring that your teenage daughters get home safely? And by the way, the trash has been taken out of Springfield & placed in the Marion County detention center.

I bring in to question those they have "brought to justice" on drug related charges. Were these individuals the competition or maybe even set up to take the fall for the deputies wrong doings? All these things must now be brought into the light and look at. Any arrests these men made and any evidence collected are now questionable. This is for from over.
