Sunday Lecture on War of 1812 at Canton Historical Museum
On Sunday, Jan. 26, the Canton Historical Museum will hold the first of its 2014 Winter Lecture Series at the Museum, 11 Front St., Collinsville at 2 p.m. State Historian Walter W. Woodward, who is also Associate Professor of History at Connecticut State University, will speak on Walter W. Woodward - 1812: The War Connecticut Hated .
Selectmen Move Forward With Plan to Seek Private Partner for Hydropower Development
By a 3-1 vote Wednesday, selectmen opted to retain the services of consultant to seek a private partner that would work with the town to bring hydroelectric power back to the upper and/or lower Farmington River dams in Collinsville.
