Ohio's state watchdog Thursday accused a state parks officer of using his job to get improper perks.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is now investigating allegations of horse abuse by a private contractor offering rides at Hueston Woods.

U.S. House Speaker John Boehner, R-West Chester Twp., will talk at ThyssenKrupp Bilstein of America Inc.

The employees of Hueston Woods Lodge and Conference Center in College Corner can retain their jobs, a spokesman for Ohio State Parks said Tuesday.

The latest layoff notices are from Diversapack of Monroe and Xanterra Parks & Resorts Inc., which manages Hueston Woods Lodge and Conference Center in College Corner.
